7/8/2011  Being a sucker for a project, I recently completed one of the simplest, most complex holsters I have ever built..... for a competition Glock 17;

One of the most difficult dye colors for me to fabricate on leather.....hot pink. It's three layers; the inside is suede, the middle is molded 0.80 Kydex, the outer layer is molded 2/3 oz tool leather that had to be molded, predyed, tooled, and rhinestoned before attaching to the other layers with adhesive and hand stitching all three layers together for six hours.

1.  Prior to trimming the inner suede liner.

2.  After stitching, prior to finish trimming.

I was sooooo happy to have it finished after the six hours of hand stitching and final finishing that I forgot to take photos of the holster before it shipped. The belt attachment flap is also a three layer sandwich of leather on both sides of the inner piece of 0.80" Kydex.

The customer was extremely pleased, which always makes my day.

P.S. I never recommend suede for an inside liner against the pistol. I absorbs moisture, dirt, and is a much higher friction surface when drawing the weapon.

  I know most of these reviews are dated. I haven't kept up with them lately. I'm too busy  enjoying the process and art.
